How do I enter my scores and can I enter them from my home or office computer?

To enter your scores from the computers at Lindenwood Golf Club, enter your name or "golfer number" and follow the easy to read instructions that follow.  Enter your score with adjustments (you do not adjust if you are new to the system) and the appropriate slope and rating of the course played. If you play at Lindenwood, use the slope and rating from the correct combination of nines that you played.  TIP: remember to use the correct "tee blocks".  If you do not specify what tees you played from - the computer will default to the "blue" tee markers for the men.  If you have any questions, do not hesitate to ask for help from the pro shop.

Can I post 9 hole scores?

Yes.  After you enter your score, you will have a choice to select "9 holes".  You will then get to choose the 9 holes you played that corresponds to the correct rating and slope.

What scores count towards my handicap?

All scores during the golf season should be posted.   The beginning and end of a season differs depending on what part of the country you are in.  Typically, in Western Pennsylvania, we begin near the end of March and end in November. 

Computations are based on the lowest 10 differentials from your last twenty (20) 18-Hole scores.   Differentials basically mean the difference between the course rating and your adjusted score.

What is a "Handicap Index" and what do I do with it?

The Handicap Index is a number always followed by a decimal point and a single digit.  Before you begin play, you would find this number in the range on the appropriate table for the course you aer to play.

When are scores updated on the computer and when are new sheets posted along with my handicap card?

Once a score is entered, you will receive an "Instant Handicap" so that you can play right away.  An Official USGA Handicap is calculated every 2 weeks.   Once the revised USGA Handicap is calculated, you can view it at home or on our computer at the club.   We print new summary sheets soon after the USGA revisions are completed.

Who is GolfNet?

GolfNet is a national provider with 25 years of experience and over 3,200 clubs and 1 million golfers reporting scores.   Our golf association, The Keystone Premier Golf Association, subscribes to this service.

Can I look up my handicap from my home?

If you are a current member of Lindenwood Golf Club's handicap system known as GolfNet, you may access the link under the words: "Find Your Handicap" on our  USGA Handicaps page.  Once you access this United States Golf Association link you can follow the instructions to view your handicap.   You will need your "golfer number" to view your activity.

Can I enter my scores from my home?

If you are a current member of Lindenwood Golf Club's GHIN system, you may access the United States Golf Association http://www.golfnetonline.net/clubentry4.asp?CourseNum=51257&StateId=7 link under the words: "Find Your Handicap" on our USGA Handicaps page.   You will need your "golfer number" to be able to post your scores on line.

How do I adjust my scores?

Once you have a handicap index established, you need to adjust scores with the Equitable Stoke Control table listed below.  For Handicap purposes, you are required to adjust your hole scores (actual or probable) when they are higher than your maximum number you can post.   There is no limit to the number of holes on which you can adjust your score.  Here is how you do it:

Scan your score card for any hole where your score (actual or probable) is higher than your maximum number - then adjust to the maximum number shown in the table.

Can I enter the Executive Course?

Yes you can.  You will find the slope and rating on the Executive Course Ratings page for 9 holes or 18 holes.
