Location: Deer Tracks 6-Hole Golf Course, Lindenwood Golf Club
Teams: Red, White, Blue, Gold (4 teams of 8 players)
Format: 2-Person Scramble | Most Pairing Points
League Objectives
The Deer Tracks Junior Golf League is designed to introduce and develop junior golfers in a fun, structured, and team-oriented environment. The primary objectives of the league are to build confidence, teach golf fundamentals, promote sportsmanship, encourage teamwork, and create a positive association with the game of golf.
Facilities Used
League practices and matches will utilize the following Lindenwood Golf Club facilities: the Deer Tracks 6-Hole Golf Course, driving range, practice putting green, chipping/short-game area, and clubhouse areas as needed for awards and the season-ending pizza party.
Age Eligibility
This league is open to juniors ages 7 through 13. All participants must have turned 7 years old by May 1. On the upper end, a junior must be no older than 13 on May 1; a participant may turn 14 during the season and remain eligible.
League Cost
The cost of the league is $350 per junior. This fee includes all range balls, use of the Deer Tracks 6-hole course for all ten (10) practices and eight (8) matches, a polo-style golf shirt that matches each team’s color, awards, and the
end-of-season pizza party following the championship.
Team Identity
Teams will be identified by color (Red, White, Blue, and Gold). Each team is encouraged to select a team name in addition to its color to build camaraderie and team spirit throughout the season.
Weekly Partner Rotation
To promote learning, teamwork, and social interaction, juniors will have new partners each week. Each team of eight players will follow a seven-week partner round-robin rotation, allowing every junior to partner with every other teammate exactly once during the season. Championship week pairings may be determined at the discretion of the coaches.
Practice Program
Pre-Match Practices (6 sessions)
Practices begin the first week of May and conclude prior to the first match in the third week of June. Practice days and times are set at the discretion of each team’s coach. Each practice is approximately 90 minutes and includes time on the driving range, putting green, chipping area, and the Deer Tracks course.
In-Season Practices (4 sessions)
One additional practice will be held during each of the first four weeks of match play to reinforce fundamentals and address learning from matches.

Matches begin the third week of June and run for eight weeks, including playoffs. Each match is allotted approximately two hours, including warm-ups on the driving range and putting green prior to play.
